Pokemon Sword & Shield is the Game Boy Advance version of Pokemon FireRed. Trainers in the latest Pokemon games, Sword and Shield, may explore a whole new continent with all-new sceneries and make friends with the kitten-like beaver Pooka as their starting Pokemon, as well as unearth wild places for gathering more than 100 never-before-seen Pokemon.
If you’re feeling very brave, you may also defend Galar’s area from an invading force. According to Pokemon creator The Pokemon Company, the game is set in the brand new territory of Galar, which includes seven cities and four towns.

Story
Pokemon Sword and Shield’s events take place in the Galar area, a long, narrow stretch of territory that is one of several in the Pokémon universe. The game’s director, Shigeru Ohmori, described it as a more contemporary environment. The region is heavily inspired by the United Kingdom, with several sights resembling the Houses of Parliament and the Cerne Abbas Giant. Country communities with cottages and Victorian architecture may be found to the south of the Galar area. An Industrial Revolution-style metropolis with steampunk characteristics populates the region’s core.
As adopted by Rose, the Galar Pokémon League Chairman, many of the region’s towns and cities have Pokémon Gyms made to appear like football stadiums, showcasing both Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing. Snow-covered mountains dominate much of the region’s northern sections. The Wild Area, a wide open world area with many roaming Pokémon species, covers a substantial section of the territory’s south-central region. The weather in the Wild Area varies frequently.
As with Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon already featured in prior games, like as Weezing, get localized Galarian Forms with different typings, attributes, and looks. Some Pokémon, like as Linoone and Meowth, can even evolve in different regions.
